Death list from Cunnersdorf from 1825

On the 28th of September, the cottager, JC Hamann, hanged himself at Eybau, under a beam on the floor of his house. – In Niedersohland one found, on 7. Oct. in which the brewing oak Marien verw. Straubin, b. Pakashin from Cunnersdorf, dead. It was there on the 8th of Oct. the Gedingebauer Christoph Hermann, 75 years old, found drowned in the dingy village creek.
Peitz: It was here that N. Kalbe, born in Sorau, descended from a long-dead respected merchant and mayor. oldest son. He had not applied himself to anything; therefore left his inherited money verthan, Sorau in silence, went to Berlin, and then to Peitz, where he was on Oct. 1. with leaving behind his suitcase, lost, and on the 24th on the Spree was found dead. He may be some 30 years old. From the found letters one can conclude a violent death. (Excerpt from the Lusatian Magazine, or collection of various treatises and news 1785 p. XVI)
